A quick work trip to the Garma Festival, to try and fix a broken satellite truck.
Up at 6am, leave home at 7am and into work to pick up the boxes I packed yesterday.
At Airport before 8am to sort out excess baggage etc. Flight left at 8:50 and arrived in Gove Airport at 10am. Was picked up by Dean (the link operator) and he took me and the boxes to the satellite truck at the festival.
Setup the HPA and Modulator and connected to antenna. After a number of calls to Sydney and to Optus, and lots of fault finding finally got it sorted and working. A quick pack up and make sure Dean is happy with changes, then back in car to airport again.
Arrive at airport with about 15 min before flight. Onto the plane and before long back in Darwin.
Leanne picks me up at the airport and home just after 5pm.
I realised on the trip. That this was most likely my last “short notice fix it trip”, and I have been doing these trips pretty well all of my working life.

Sounds like a very efficient trip. Hope you managed to enjoy it 🙂
